Silicon Bites Ep308 | 2026-03-26 | BURNING THE WAR MACHINE: All Three of Russia's Oil Ports Ablaze and Putin's Economy Is Drowning in the Smoke. Three ports. Three fires. Three pillars of Vladimir Putin's war economy all of them burning.
In the space of a single month, Ukraine has hit every major western oil export terminal Russia possesses. All three. Baltic Sea, Black Sea the arteries that pump petrodollars into the Kremlin's war machine are hemorrhaging.
According to Reuters calculations published this week, roughly 40 percent of Russia's crude oil export capacity around two million barrels per day is now offline. Reuters is calling it the most severe disruption to Russian oil supplies in modern history. (NBC News / Reuters, March 2526, 2026; The Moscow Times, March 25, 2026)
Two million barrels a day. From the world's second-largest oil exporter. Ukraine did this. Not NATO. Not the United States which, let's be clear, has been busy easing sanctions on Russian oil while its president schmoozes with Putin's envoys in Florida. Ukraine did this with domestically built long-range drones, special forces coordination, and sheer strategic audacity. This is the story nobody in Washington wants you to focus on. They want you to think about Ukrainian capitulation, about weakness and how Zelenskyy has no cards. Trump is wrong Ukraine is strong, and he is the emperor without clothes.

(33,422 posts)1. I love how you bring the good news. No joke.
How sad is it that a peacenick (probably should say former) is now encouraged by the news of the destruction of an enemy country?
I grew up hating conflict of any kind. Now, I am bordering on warmongering. Pollyanna is dead. She was fun while she lasted, though.
I hope you are doing well. Here I am trying to go to sleep and instead of having luck with that, I'm having a terrible toothache.
How are you doing?

ð¥ BONUS: As Ukrainian drones were striking one of the world's largest chemical plants in Russia, at least one Russian air defense missile joined in on the fun and also struck the same plant.
