I just watched "The Janes" on HBO Max. The first hour was like watching my life on film.

The politics, the birth of feminism, the vintage film of our clothes and hair, all playing out in the Chicago, I remembered.

Ever young woman should see this documentary about women's response to "illegal abortion". I doubt if women will have to perform surgical abortions in the next couple of years, but we all need to organize to help women in the grip of the anti states to get the treatment they deserve.

made documentary.

I'd never even heard of "The Janes" until this documentary came out. I completely agree that all women (especially the anti-choicers, who are the ones who need to watch it the most and are the least likely to watch).

I learned SO much. I had heard of them before, but only knew minimal details about what they did.

I can't recommend this documentary highly enough. It's a great history lesson, and very inspiring as well.
