Had half a Non-alcoholic beer last night...ew. But today I feel hungover... double-ew!

I thought it would go well with pizza... only drank half. I realize I really don't like the taste of alcohol, I was just using it for getting wasted.

Anyway, slept poorly, and woke up feeling funky. When I was sitting here having my morniing tea, I wondered of it could be a hangover. It's been so long since I had one, I forgot but ... got that general body ache, and headache that is there but not, etc...

Mr. Google said it's possible, cuz the sugars apparently mess you up and you can also get dehydrated from it. So I'm hydrating and taking a tylenol. Glad it's Saturday so I can just nap and be gentle with myself. It's so damn hot here too I'm just feeling icky anyway.. ugh

I guess I am just a Chai / Tea, and water girl from now on!

I have the occasional NA beer and have never felt hungover. And I eat a bowl of ice cream almost every night. I guess sugar affects everyone differently.

I am probably pre-diabetic. My dr tried to get me to do those glp-1 shots. I tried but they also made me so sick I almost ended up in the ER from not being able to keep anything down for days!

I'm one of those ultra-sensitive people... as I get older my tolerance for things like meds has really gotten worse. My mom was the same way. Buyt the time she passed at 85 she had a huge list of allergies to meds and such...

I have never found one where the flavor made up for the lack of that pleasant buzz.

Don't have their names handy, but they were pretty good. Also a NA ginger beer. Recommended by the bartenders. I was being careful because I was driving. Otherwise, stopping at a pub for lunch just didn't feel right.

In some places, you could get scooped up even if you're below the legal limit if the cop just doesn't like your face. Why risk it?

And the NA Guinness is really good too. I've also had a few IPA's that were great. I used o love the IPAs because they were 7 or 8 percent alcohol. The new NA IPAs are quite tasty!

Which are big in CO right now, and they are essentially hops flavored seltzer. They have zero calories and zero alcohol. I’ve tried a few and some are very good. Others are what you think of when you think of hops flavored seltzer.

Also, some hops flavored teas ie Black tea or Camomile - so caffeine or no caffeine.

In both cases a company named HopLark makes very good ones.

Lagunitas, and a few others

Kind of expensive also.

I stay away from the N.A. beer. Feels somehow like a slippery slope for me. But that’s just me staying on my guard…..things were not good for me when I finally was able to stop drinking. I still remember that thankfully.

With that in mind, I once had a Guinness zero at a company event. and it tasted like the real deal. I didn’t finish it though.
