I had the most wonderful day today. It reminded me, life can still be good even in the middle of

Our nation falling apart, atrocities all around us, looming war. We can still somehow find little bits of happiness.

My husband took me to the National Gallery of Art. And I got to see beautiful paintings. Then we had a nice lunch, followed by custard, and naps in our respective recliners while listening to an audible book from the number one ladies detective agency series.

I was grateful for every single moment of it, and thought, how wonderful my life is, away from my family of origin and away from any toxic people in general.

I look at Trump and see my father. And my older sister and brother turned cruel and sociopathic, too.

Every day, I think at least one time, I am so glad I escaped my family of origin.

So important to remember that life is good if you stay in the now. So hard to do, and yet so simple.

I’m really glad you escaped your family of origin and created your own family and friends of choice.

My favorite part is an assumption I'm happy to make,
You could write this post every day in some capacity and that makes you such an amazing part of our days.
Thank you!
