Martini's test tesults

The vet tech called today to get authorization to perform another test on Martini and kept referring to her as him and he, which didn't endear her to me one bit. I finally said Martini is female and she said "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, my bad." Everybody always thought Boots was male too; I guess Boots and Martini are male cats names.

Anyway, the vet called later with her test results. She has protein in her urine and her red blood cell count has elevated. 😥

So there will be more frequent tests and more blood drawn and possibly more medication. But as long as she keeps eating, drinking, playing, using the litter box, begging me for treats, pets and scritches and continues to have a good quality of life, we're just going to keep on keeping on come what may.

Please keep a good thought for my precious Martini. I love her so much. She's due to turn 15 on the 4th of July, so that's what I'll be celebrating that day.

My Cooper dog gets misgendered constantly, but I did give her a boy's name. She is a gorgeous borough bred rescue from the bronx. 75% amstaff, 25% german shep

Adopted her at a little under 1 year old from American Care and Control.

Since she's getting older and she's my baby I've been having lots of anxiety over her. Some days she is a little slower, but most of the time she is still a big puppy.

Sadly, she does like to chase ducks and cats in the neighborhood, but she wouldn't hurt a fly. I think she is trying to herd them. The cats, however, do not submit willingly.

She has a little orange tabby that I think is her arch enemy...
