Martini had her first taste of hamburger today

I brought home a cheeseburger, fries and Coke (Pepsi?) from Culvers. I pulled off a small bite of the meat for Martini. She sniffed at it, put it in her mouth, spit it out, put it back her mouth, carried it about a foot away on the floor and ate it.

Who knows what goes on in the mind of a cat? I guess the spot she chose was better than the spot I chose.

Oh and later, she became the Incredible Hulk again when I tried to give her her medication. Up on her hind legs, gritting her teeth shut, digging her claws into my hand (she just had them trimmed so no big deal) and growling. She spit it out four times, easily her personal best. The last time I put the pill in her mouth, she growled and hissed at the same time, but she swallowed it.

2. She's not always like that

Sometimes she takes it with no muss or fuss; sometimes she'll put up a minimal fight; and other times, watch out! The Incredible Hulk has taken over my sweet little cat and I never know which one I'll have to deal with that day.

But it's a small price to pay to keep her blood pressure normal. Well, she doesn't think it's a small price to pay, but I do.

But I'm with you, just take it and get it over with!
