that revel in a secret or inspiring old wisdom are a genre. When we looked at Josephus, the valuable historian of his time and place it was also quite possible his copied work may have been redacted by Christians in those rare passages concerning Jesus. His concern was the Jewish revolt and Christians were spreading among the gentiles at that time. The documentary is very long on its own commentary and very short on textual quotes even for a (sensationalist?)presentation of this sort. Josephus was a double dealing pragmatist in the practical matter of survival and career(hence his adopted name Flavius). So, embedded in Roman society his works would become initially sourced away from Jewish libraries- and perhaps not that inspiring to his own people. That doesn't mean objectivity or admiration for Christianity, but vulnerability to some redaction once the Empire turned Christian?

I am only raising my foggy memory as a caution to viewers regarding youtube history entertainment.
