Commemorating The Farhud--June 1-2, 1941

Jews had lived in Iraq for over 2500 years. When H i t l e r came to power, Haj Amin el Husseini, the mufti of Jerusalem, met with him and studied his “final solution” for the Jewish people very thoroughly. He visited extermination camps in Europe and being the great fan that he was of the methods the Nazis used, kept pushing for better, faster options to fulfil this final solution in Europe and the Middle East alike. He did all in his power to incite the Arab world against the Jewish population, which in Iraq, led to the massacre known as the Farhud.

This massacre happened 7 years prior to the re-emergence of Israel as a state in what was then known as the British Mandate of Palestine in Eretz Israel, where Jews were known as Palestinians and Arabs as Arabs. In other words, there was no occupation. No checkpoints. Just pure Nazi ideology, blind hatred that sparked into a massacre, rape, theft and expulsion of people who were living in the land for more than two thousand years.

This is the same ideology being taught among the children of the people who today are called Palestinians.
