403 error
Recently I've gotten 403 errors on two posts I tried to make. One I gave up on. The other is posted 5 edits, pasting more and more in each time. But the first sentence now references a title that no longer exists (I was finally able to delete it), but when I try to edit the first sentence of the post I get repeated 403 errors.
The initial 403 problem seems to be driven by quotation marks - no idea what the issue is now (and I don't have the patience at the moment to delete character by character until I figure out which character it is.
History:
After getting a 403 error for the same post on two browsers (Chrome and Edge), I copied and pasted the text as text only in a Word document, then copied it and pasted the plain text into both browsers. Still 403 error.
So I pasted a couple of paragraphs in and posted it. Then about the third paragraph I pasted in gave me the 403 error. So I deleted a character in that paragraph at a time until it let me post it. Once I removed the plain text quotation marks, I was able to post the remainder of the post.
But - in the process, since I was posting a partial post, I inserted a couple of explanations for readers who might stumble on the intermediate gibberish. I have managed to remove all of my explanatory commentary - except the first line of text. Whenever I try to remove it I get a 403 error. I tried clearing the website cache, logging out and back in, and editing from my phone. No luck.
The post I made successfully is here: https://democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=21348670
I finally gave up on the post that was giving me repeated 403 errors a week or two ago.
A couple of years ago I went through a similar thing. I'll see if I can find the post I made about it.
Found it. Oddly enough, it's the exact same issue, and the original 403 error was triggered by the same phrase. https://www.democraticunderground.com/109536913
