(4,708 posts)Script, Direction, Sets, Costumes, Lighting, Cast, Acting.....all of it. Also a glorious paean to NYC. And they even used the wonderful Tebaldi/Bergonzi LA BOHEME recording for all the opera excerpts.

Moonstruck and My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
Being in my in-laws house in Calabria in the morning and like - people keep stopping by and its chaos. And no one is yelling they are just talking . And you have to eat lamb to feed your blood.
Oh yeah - Calabria was a part of Greece for a long time. My mother in law's family name didn't change from Guidopoulos to Guido until the 1860's. No joke - they are in the church records for hundreds and hundreds of years and then in one generation- they became Italian. But yeah - I've learned to love lamb.

(356 posts)Everyone in it is great. It's a wonderful love story. It's funny, romantic, charming. And I absolutely love their house! I would give anything to live in a house like that. It's just my style.
