Let's talk about how Trump's fringe support started collapsing.... - Belle of the Ranch

Well, howdy there internet people. It's Belle again. So, today we're going to talk about how Trump's French support started collapsing.

Since before Trump even took office for his second term, we've talked about the possibility that he would lose his fringe base because eventually they would put together that Trump actually advocates for many of the policies they view as objectionable. They've just overlooked it as part of their belief that he was engaged in 4D chess. But now that he doesn't need them anymore, he'll stop playing to them.

Then we watched as Marjorie Taylor Greene broke with Trump and flat out said that he was playing them by posting nods to them that didn't mean anything. That was the public beginning of those associated with the conspiracy world turning on Trump. Well, now I'm going to read you a quote.

Guess who it is. "When your ankles swell up three times the size they were before, that means heart failure. And he does look sick and he does babble and, you know, sound like the brain's not doing too hot and so we just cut bait on Trump and we just mobilize against the Democrats.”

Up until that last line. It could have been pretty much any liberal commentator, right? The person also said, "Not the man he was that last year. And that we need to be sad about Trump. This is not funny. This is not good. But he's gone and that's it and all the people rallied around him. You can see Hegseth's freaked out. You can see the press secretaries freaked out. They're being loyal. They think it's a lesser of two evils. And I, okay, but I just think Trump needs intervention.”

That is none other than Alex Jones. Jones doesn't have the juice that he once had, but he's still very influential in that world. And many others are breaking with Trump. So why is it happening? For some, they really feel duped. For others, it's pure economics. They know Trump is on his way out and they need to reposition themselves as being anti-establishment again. You know, after a decade of supporting an establishment billionaire. It won't be a hard pivot for them, though, because much of the conspiracy crowd just wants to be told that there's some kind of order to the chaos of the world. Even if it's bad guys running the world, there's order.

There's actually a running joke that former intelligence and special operations personnel can always have a career in the podcast world by simply confirming every weird theory out there. Just so y'all know, if somebody really was read on to some special program negotiating with transdimensional aliens or whatever and they talked about it, they'd probably go to prison. But since it's not true and therefore are not classified, they can confirm whatever they feel like. If you want real secret information, don't listen to podcasts. Hang out on the War Thunder forums.

Jokes aside, this is actually a core component of the MAGA base, and it's melting faster than something hit by a space laser.

Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
