Let's talk about Iran acknowledging 'atomic power'..... - Belle of the Ranch
Well, howdy there internet people. It's Belle again. So, today we're going to talk about Iran acknowledging atomic power.
On April 9th, I put out a video talking about how Trump gave Iran something better than a nuke. and it gave a brief overview of how control of the strait tied Iran's national security to international security in the same way nukes do. This was not a concept a lot of people were comfortable with acknowledging and some were outright hostile to. Here's an example. Get your popcorn.
"You are perhaps the most ridiculous lefty on YouTube." Oh, control of the strait is something better than a nuke. Have you ever seen what a nuke can do? They hit the ground and entire cities gone in the blink of an eye. Radiation, massive fallout. But yeah, blocking some boats is the same. I'm sorry, not the same. Better. At least you're good for a laugh and look like you've got a rack. I'll keep watching. At least you're good for a laugh. I'll be waiting for your video on Iran saying they're giving up their nukes because they control the strait.
I'll explain all the things wrong with that in a second. But first, I want to get to why we're talking about this again after a month. Mohammad Mokhber who was a senior adviser to the slain Supreme Leader and was also a vice president, said something interesting about control of the strait. "In reality, it is a capability on the level of an atomic bomb because when you have a capability that can affect the entire global economy with a single decision, that is an enormous capability.
So while people in the United States may not be receptive to this concept, influential Iranian policy makers are. This is going to be important to understand when Iran starts to take a softer line with its nuclear program. They might still tell Trump he isn't getting what he wants. But even if they blow him off, they're unlikely to invest as much energy into their nuclear program because they have something better than a nuke. The key element here is that there is no way Trump can actually win this war now. He effectively completed their strategic deterrent program for them. He gave them their Trinity test. Demonstrating their ability to close the strait gives them a strategic deterrent.
See, as explained in the video that prompted that message, nuclear weapons aren't actually about destroying cities in the blink of an eye and creating radiation and fallout. In fact, today most nukes are set to not hit the ground and detonate via air burst, which maximizes the destruction while limiting the fallout.
The theory of nukes today is to act as a deterrent and if used to destroy production capability. Production capability destruction can be achieved via choking off energy as well.
As we watch Trump bumble around during his attempt to unwind the elective war and focus on Iran's nuclear program, which even US intelligence said wasn't actively pursuing a bomb, we need to remember that he's probably focusing on the wrong thing. Iran is likely to shift to strengthen its ability to lock down the strait at will.
Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
