5. Vance is a low-IQ "intellectual" with a notion of religious revolution?

Didn't Robert Heinlein write about this bullshit 70 years ago? Vance doesn't like the Pope, so in his future America, there has to be an "American Pope" whose word is infallible and whose police patrol to keep the citizens righteously faithful and obedient.

I'm just speculating here, but it just feels like something this morally bankrupt man would dream about. He clearly isn't a Catholic, not in his heart. He admires the imperial aspects of that church, but that church also has these moral quiddities that get in the way of a proper "religioning" of the country. Vance would prefer an American Pope who rules the souls of the nation with an iron scepter, with papal "listeners" in place, undercover, in taverns, restaurants, bus stops, wherever people congregate, to listen for people saying disobedient things that require State intervention and healing. ICE, of course, could be used as an organizational foundation for this "Jesus Undercover Moral Police" (JUMP)" Force with the holy cops tazing and bear spraying suspected sinners and hustling them off to secret "conversion" prisons. It would come under the newly established Department of Making America Properly Holy and Institutionally Abrahamic" (MAPHIA).

Sorry. My mind was waving. What I wanted to say was, simply, Vance is a complete and utter douchebag whose thoughts on religion, on human beings, on America, on anything, are not worth the pile of used Depends that accumulate daily in the Lincoln bathroom.

What will he do to all the people like Usha and his kids if they refuse to be Christians? I'm surprised they aren't divorced by now with the way he disrespects her. Unless she knows it's just an act to impress the rubes so he may realize his ambition to replace Trump and she could be First Lady. Dream on, there is a huge section of the racist Republican base that will hate them more when they see the photos of them in Indian Hindu garb with dots on their foreheads. His poll numbers suck and every day he has less chance of being the nominee for President in 2028. He is cast as the fall guy for all of Trump's disasters and even Little Marco Rubio may have a better chance than him.
