I saw this and was struck by what I thought were Marines behind him. I hadn’t seen much discussion of it then I saw this.

to force all our honorable troops -- the people he thinks of as "suckers and losers" -- to line up and pretend to "honor" him.
And the rest of the republicons kiss-ass and submissively go along with this sick charade, a mockery of true honor.
