(20,694 posts)106. I'm white and female, too.
And I don't find Cockett's remark at all offensive. It's not the most tactful thing she could have said, but definitely not worthy of all the pearl clutching I'm seeing here.
If anyone here feels personally wounded by that comment, I think their reaction says more about them than it does about Crockett.
P.S. For the record, Jasmine Crockett can call me a "white girl" any time she wants.

What offends me are lawmakers who do not speak out with the passion and vigor that we have seen from Jasmine Crockett

It was plenty of time for people to get to know her. It's just that people are hateful idiots.

"White boy" is not a racist term. Mentioning race is not racist, and "boy" is not racist when talking about white people

No, it's not "racist", it's an opinion on how some donors are thinking

I'm sure the Hispanic people being kidnapped off our streets by ICE are laughing at Crockett's triviality.

To try to turn this comment into a scandal doesn't help us. I listen to WHAT she is saying, rather than find fault.

It's like, "Let's not listen to what she is actually saying. Let's destroy her!" This is how we lose elections.
