His best friend and roommate David Carlson told local news outlet KARE11 he is an avid Trump supporter and voted for the Republican candidate.
He also described the suspect as a Christian who opposes abortion.
Inside his car cops found a hit list of prominent abortion rights campaigners, many of them Democratic lawmakers.

I know the Daily Mail tabloid isn't the greatest source, but I've seen this elsewhere ...

His housemate Carlson said Boelter was against abortion and voted for President Donald Trump but generally avoided talking about politics.

Carlson said Boelter was a conservative who voted for President Donald Trump and was strongly against abortion rights. But he said Boelter never mentioned any particular issue with the lawmakers who were shot, and said he was stunned to learn that he is a suspect in the attacks.

Neither is as strong as the Daily Mail wording "avid Trump supporter", but will do for something to use in response to the Walz appointee thing.

Governor Walz makes between 300 and 500 appointments to over 130 boards, commissions, task forces, and advisory councils each year.

The Governor and Lieutenant Governor are always seeking qualified and diverse individuals who are passionate about using their knowledge, skills, and lived experiences to serve the state of Minnesota. There is a position for everyone, and the Walz-Flanagan Administration encourages applications from all Minnesotans with a desire to serve their state.
