He's trying to figure out how to cover up the fact that he's on a mission to acquire the world's wealth and gain total control over everyone through intimidation so those companies hardly matter all that much in the grand scheme. He's got to play the role and I think he forgets which lie he's telling to whom and that's where he gets messed up.
