(2,937 posts)If I uncheck the box that offers to send me promotional material and ads, that means I DONT WANT THAT. They then send me email every day, forcing me to add them to a block list so that those emails go directly to the trash (I have so many blocked emails, the list is endless). Why do they bother putting that option up?
I dont want to give you my cell phone number so you can text me ads every day. Email is fine for that (so I can block you).
When I need customer service over the phone, I would love to be able to understand the person on the other endit seems they arent even attempting to speak understandable English. What? and Can you say that again, slowly? and Im sorry, I didnt understand that through the whole conversation. I often just hang up in frustration.
BTW, Protonmail is a free email website. I almost never use it, but they keep my account open. Once in a while those places ask for your email address and then send you a code to that address. Once in a rare while I want that code, so having an accessible junk mail address is handy. To keep the emails there under 100, I periodically go in and unsubscribe from spam that comes daily.
