He's nearing completion of his Ph.D. in nuclear engineering. He can probably work in any civilized country in the world, and be welcomed there. (He's mentioned France; he speaks French and is tutoring his girlfriend, also a nuclear engineering student, in that language.)

My oldest son is an artist/gallery administrator. His only option for getting out of here would involve going to graduate school overseas.

My wife and I are stuck here. No one would accept us.
