... but you don't ever want to get too close to one! Even a peck from that bill can hurt like hell, never mind a good bite! I found that out the hard way years ago when I got ambushed in a park with a pond they loved to frequent. Kept my distance after that encounter!
The little gosling in the foreground of the 4th photo was likely the last one hatched, but their growth rate is so fast that it'll catch up to its nest mates in short order.
I love watching them. Thanks for the pix!
