I went with some folks from the camera club and we hired guides, who were great. I wanted to see the way in from the seat of someone else's truck before trying it with my own . It's gnarly, but not too bad until the last couple hundred yards. The Milky Way photos were amazing. I haven't worked on any of those yet. I didn't need the star tracker or long exposures-- there was no light pollution at all, and we just shot the sky directly, one exposure each image, no stacking. It was the clearest night sky I've seen in a long time.
