If you haven't been following the story of his (admitted) strong-arming the former Metra director to give raises and jobs to his political hacks (the director declined and was summarily fired for failing to do Madigan's bidding), ask me anything. It's been front page news for the last week in the Tribune.

As for the governorship, I think I'll stick with Quinn for the primaries, unless someone else comes along (not a Daley). He hasn't got a chance, but it's the very fact that he's refused to kowtow to these old-time power brokers that makes me respect him.
