State Attack on Rutgers University continues [View all]
A bill coming before the State Senate and Assembly would disband Rutgers University's Board of Trustees and leave only the Board of Governors (made up entirely of political appointees) in its place.
This is another foul, corrupt attempt to influence the university, possibly to restart last year's attempts to break up the university into pieces and sell them off to the highest bidder. Certainly it will place the state university of New Jersey into the snake pit of political influences.
The bill was co-sponsored by Senate President Steven Sweeney, the DINO from Gloucester, who is reputed to be heavily under the influence of the corrupt Third Way democratic party boss, George Norcross.
The whole thing smells like another attempt to destroy public higher education in New Jersey. Certainly the secrecy and hurry suggests serious ulterior motives, rather than any genuine interest in improving education in this already-suffering state.

If you're from Jersey, contact your state representatives ASAP and let them know this continued interference is unconscionable and a waste of time. Rutgers is one of the strongest public institutions in the state, and Christie & his south Jersey DINO allies can not be allowed to break it down.
