1. If they aren't out by Oct 17 make a plan to get to an early voting site.

Get your friends and neighbors together for a road trip to vote as early as possible. Make it an event!

And bring along any unregistered folks to both register and vote at the site.

Of course, won't be doable for everyone, but it doesn't hurt to have a plan in place.

P.S. You can vote in person even if you requested an absentee ballot:
According to the State Board of Elections: “You may still vote in person as long as you did not return your absentee ballot. Your absentee ballot will be spoiled after you vote in person. You may simply discard your absentee ballot — there is no need to bring it with you to a polling place.”
