11. There should be vaccine outreach to their community

If this nightmarish state had local health authorities that made an effort to reach out to the Mennonite community in their language, they might be able to convince the parents to vaccinate.

Imagine being a kid who doesn't speak english having to endure sickness in a strange hospital surrounded by strange anglos that don't really care.

Healthcare in apartheid Tejas is just plain bad. Houstons' "world class" hospitals are only accessible to rich whites. I know this first hand, there are no excuses. In Fort Worth, the residents of the medical district surrounded by hospitals and doctors have the lowest life expectancy in the state, 67, because they don't have access.
