2. I'm in Los Angeles and have seen some photos from the pilot house of some container ships heading to Port of Los Angeles

The crews were taking pictures to show that even though they have containers on board, and we've all seen ships with towers of containers on the upper deck, lots and lots of the spaces that the containers are locked into for travel have nothing in them.

So ships may be coming but with much smaller loads than usual.
