The Red Tent by Anita Diamant?

The book is about the menstrual tent desert nomads and indigenous people used for thousands of years.

Women gathered there for 3-5 days. They did not cook, care for children other than nursing little ones, weed gardens, make beer or cheese.

They ate special moon cakes, gossiped, relaxed, worked on quill embroidery, etc.

Why did we ever let this go?
