2. 1 or 2 teaspoons of cashew butter cuts my hunger-pangs late at nite

I've also gotten used to eating my last meal fairly early as well (really helps weight-loss and maintenance)--Like 3-4 PM on many days, so I'm fairly used to the "empty" feeling.

I only have anything later if the "pangs" are acute, which they often are not.

But peanut butter/almond butter/cashew butter have a lot of protein and can really cut the pangs.

A couple moderately heaping teaspoons (not spread on anything), consumed directly (and savored, which is important, IMO) and the hunger diminishes, within 10 minutes or so, almost like with a medicine.

That way, I only consume 100 to maybe 200 calories, tops, instead of eating something more substantial
and compromising any balance in my diet.

Works for me, anyway.
