is that it was the German Jewish scientists who fled the country that ended up in US and were instrumental in the development of the atomic bomb. Had they stayed in Germany and been loyal to the Nazis, Germany probably could have developed atomic weapons before we did. One bomb on London and one on Moscow, with a threat to hit New York or DC next, would have likely left a shaky peace with Hitler in control of all of Europe and Russia.
