They are living in the house together as it decays around them. They have no money for upkeep or repairs. They have no credit cards and 2 very old cars. Hers rarely runs. They live on Social Security totalling about $3500 a month. Granted, they have a roof over their heads, but they would probably be better off selling the home ($200K) splitting the proceeds and getting on with the rest of their lives. At least each would have a small nest egg. She is 66 and he is 62.
