We pre-arranged our wishes after my father died in the late 1990s. Dad's case was a nightmare as my mother didn't know what to do with him after he passed. So, hey, there is a dead body here and what do we do with it? I don't know was her reply. YIKES!
Hence, we pre-arranged at that time, paid-in full. The funeral home attempted to not honor the contract and I had to get an attorney involved to have his wishes honored.
Yes, it was that bad!
SHAME ON THEM.
SHAME ON ALL OF THOSE THAT FAILED TO CARE FOR MY HUSBAND and that includes the VA!
And YES that includes YOU Hospiss, as you Hospiss knew how sick he was in Feb. and you walked away telling us that he was going to be around for a long time.
Dead in May, three months later!
