6. I would hate for my psych doc to have sampled the merry-go-round of psych meds.

Get a knowledgeable doctor. I wouldn't want my doctor on antipsychotics, as I know how they feel. I wouldn't trust her judgement.

And if my psych doc takes psych meds, it's not my business.

In this area, I prefer knowledge over personal experience.
