Stick around for a long time. Thats above "street" prices, before taxes. The shops will become edible, extracts sellers though. Buds? 50 an 1/8 maximum for primo sativas, 60 for indicas. But oz.s are under 200 for anything. 1500 top grade a pound. (The retailers pay even less than that).
Keep your medical card, thats untaxed.
One problem in the switch. But a boon for me, is that now. Growers that grow in counties that have a strict ordinance in place, are now shut out of the legal market. They werent with prop 215's lax rules, but now they are. That really screws counties that are known as pot producers, out of participating. I lived in one. I moved because they were putting in a super strict ordinance after a pro pot measure failed.
I now live in a county that wants to be the Napa county of pot. Everyone is gearing up, tripling their gardens. Greenhouses for light dep operations.
It aint easy though. 25 plants and youve got a full time job. 100 plants youve got to be on drip, have a 🚜, water on site, and help during the season. After harvest takes a lot of help. Even if you machine trim. 50 days of trimming for 25 2lb plants. 5lb plants are not uncommon, although ive never come close.
Its going to be interesting how this shakes out. Im a hobby grower now, so I have no dog in the fight, but a lot of people are going to find this an boon, others will be without their way of life.
