2. I reckon it would be better for multi-national corporations to control the industry?

I would rather see Mom and Pop growers supplying local markets than see the profits go to another billionaire speculator.

Local growers that are part of the community, hire local people, spend at local businesses, and are taxed to support local governments.

If the rich take this over as well, you can throw quality assurances out the window.

It will be better for thousands of people across the country to each make a decent living than for a handful of the already filthy rich to get more cash to hide in their off shore banks.
