Ron Johnson suggests he might not run for reelection

16. Wow! What this says to ME is that our massive protests are paying off! I bet Johnson is too chicken to campaign!

Just think about it: Republicans will be too frightened to show up for public ANYTHING as they try to campaign to keep their seats in Congress in 2026. They're too scared shitless right now to show up for town halls, and they know that public campaign events will have the same result: righteously angry constituents making their voices heard.

Here in ruby-red Montana, Ryan Zinke will just arrange private campaign events with only invited Republican voters, and sadly, they will vote him back in. But in less solidly red states, I hope we will see more Republicans like Johnson say they will not be running again. Their stated reason will be, of course, that they want to spend more time with their families.

This news makes me a little gleeful, I have to say!
