I have no idea about a repair shop near you as I'm in Vandalia. I do have a suggestion that has worked for me and is likely part of your issue and maybe all of it. (fingers crossed)
Try removing and rinsing the fuel filter out and then give it a few tugs and maybe Walla!
I hope this saves you a trip and is certainly worth trying. Also, change the spark plug.
